Zurich, Switzerland (ptp024/09.08.2019/14:00) - The German artist Jürgen Heckelmann announces today that his work "Entry-Arrived" will be digitally exhibited at this year's SWISSARTEXPO as part of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0. His photographic work will be shown as a semi-finalist picture on the 2x2 meter LED screen. The Swiss Arts Festival will take place from 15th to 19th August 2019 in Zurich's Central Station Hall.

Jürgen Heckelmann, born in Munich in 1973, still lives and works in the Bavarian city today. The autodidact has always been interested in the photographic craft. After his successful professional career in aircraft construction, he decided in his mid-twenties to further his education in image editing, layout and illustration and to get fully involved in life as an artist and photographer. Seeing and capturing the world in moments has been his passion ever since - and his profession.

His series "Entry" tells of goals: The departure into the unknown, the escape from one's own comfort zone and the decision to venture something new. His photographs capture the moment before the decision - the determined view of the set goal - uncertain whether the right moment has already arrived or not. His picture "Entry-Arrived", one of the semi-finalists of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0, shows just such a moment. The lake, untouched, lies in front of you and waits. A slide becomes a symbol of the beginning, a launching pad into the unknown - into what may lie beneath the mirror-smooth surface of the water.

Jürgen Heckelmann is able to reveal the beauty of snapshots to the viewer. It seems as if he tries to stop transience and to let time and space stand still, to evoke feelings and to make people think.

Jürgen Heckelmann also recently published his latest artist catalogue. It will be shown in a prime location at the SWISSARTEXPO. If you want to take a glance at the stunning catalogue in advance, you can order it via https://artbox-publish.myshopify.com/products/jg-heckelmann?_pos=1&_sid=745a09720&_ss=r or Amazon.
